Guardian Paws was founded by Nathan Alford, a lifelong Parker County local and hands-on problem solver who has always built businesses around real community needs. Many people first got to know Nathan through Parker County Goat Rental, a company he grew from an idea into a local staple that even made the news before eventually being sold to an unexpected buyer.
After that chapter, Nathan shifted his focus to something much more personal: helping families keep their pets safe and get them home when they go missing. He saw how stressful and disorganized a typical lost-pet search can be. Random posts online, kind-hearted volunteers, but very little structure, accountability, or trained help on the ground when time matters most.
Guardian Paws was created to fix that gap. Instead of being just another Facebook group, it is built as a true search membership with paid, trained staff, proper gear, and organized response plans ready before a pet ever goes missing. Membership funds real readiness, fuel, traps, cameras, search tools, safety, equipment, professional 3rd party FAA licensed thermal drone pilots and the people who know how to use them.
Rooted in Parker County and the greater DFW area, Nathan’s mission is simple: treat every missing pet like family, respond quickly and professionally, and stay accountable to the members who make it all possible. Through Guardian Paws, he is working to build a reliable, boots-on-the-ground team you can join before you need it, so you are not starting from scratch on the worst day you and your pet could have.

Steven “Red” Wild is the kind of person you want next to you when there is real work to be done. Long before Guardian Paws, Red and Nathan were simply neighbors, the kind who kept an eye out for each other and were always trading help on projects and ideas. That trust turned into a working relationship when Nathan hired Red at Parker County Goat Rental, where Red quickly became known for showing up early, staying late, and doing whatever it took to deliver on what was promised.
Over time, it became clear this was more than just an employer–employee relationship. Red had a strong sense of responsibility, a calm head under pressure, and a genuine respect for animals and the people who love them. So when Nathan sold Parker County Goat Rental and started shaping what would become Guardian Paws, Red was a natural choice to move from employee to full business partner.
As co-founder of Guardian Paws, Red focuses on the boots-on-the-ground side of the mission. Organizing and coordinating searches, handling gear, and making sure field operations are safe, efficient, and effective. He brings a practical mindset, a work truck mentality, and a “we said we’d be there, so we will” approach to every call.
From neighbors, to team members, to business partners, Nathan and Red have built Guardian Paws around the same core values they live by: show up, work hard, tell the truth, and do right by the families who trust them when a pet goes missing.
